Global sports streaming giant, DAZN, has recently launched its exclusive coverage of the English National League System. In a move which would not have been anticipated by many experts and bookies, including those at ApuestasGuru, this development is set to bring the excitement and action of English football's fifth and sixth tiers to audiences worldwide.
This coverage was launched at the weekend, marking a significant milestone in sports broadcasting. National League TV (NLTV) has been integrated into DAZN's platform as part of this new initiative.
This integration offers comprehensive coverage of the National League, National League North and South.
The inaugural match broadcasted was between York City and Hartlepool United. This marked just one out of a total of 557 matches from the National League that will be available for live streaming on DAZN's platform. In addition to full-length live games, fans can also enjoy additional highlights and replays.
DAZN CEO, Shay Segev, said:
“DAZN’s technology makes us uniquely placed to create destinations for sports fans."
“This multi-year partnership with NLS will allow us to create a global home for the National League, helping fans better access the teams they are so passionate about while creating engagement opportunities to access new audiences.”
This deal places NLTV alongside some renowned names in global sports such as the NFL and PGA within DAZN’s portfolio. It signifies an important step forward for NLTV as it expands its reach beyond traditional boundaries.
National League General Manager, Mark Ives, added:
“We are incredibly excited about this groundbreaking long-term joint venture with DAZN, one of the biggest players in sports broadcasting, and the deal demonstrates the continuing growth and reach of the National League.”
Stakeholders within the National League are likely viewing this development as a golden opportunity to broaden their commercial horizons by attracting new supporters while opening up additional sponsorship opportunities.
This partnership between DAZN and the National League not only brings more visibility to lower-tier English football but also provides an excellent opportunity for clubs within these leagues to increase their commercial reach globally.
This is a significant step forward in the world of non-league football and sports streaming, bringing more diverse content to fans worldwide and opening up new avenues for sponsorship and partnerships for the stakeholders involved.
