There's a gripping three horse race for the title in the Spanish top flight, as well as an intriguing relegation scrap. With some of the biggest names in world football and top quality play throughout the division, Spain has so much to offer a British football fan but many are not sure how they can go about watching. With traditional broadcasters not holding the rights to any fixtures this season, where can you go to watch the likes to Lionel Messi at Barcelona and Sergio Ramos at Real Madrid? The answer is La Liga TV.
Who will be crowned this year's La Liga champions?
Not since 2014 has anyone other than Barcelona or Real Madrid lifted the Spanish title and a few months ago many believed this could be the second coming of Diego Simeone's miracle. That buzz has started to fade after a period of very mixed Atletico Madrid form has coincided with rampant domination from the big two. As recently as January 31, El Cholo's men were 10 points clear at the top. After Real's win over Lionel Messi and Barcelona in the El Clasico at the weekend, they now sit just one point clear of their city rivals and two points ahead of the Catalan side. Momentum seems to be with Real Madrid but anything can happen. All three teams have slipped up in the most unexpected of circumstances. It's going to be a fascinating end of the season at the top. Real are all but through to the Semi Finals of the Champions League and Atletico will hope that distraction can throw them off in the league but they will need to start building momentum if they are going to escape their bitter rivals and Barcelona.
Six teams in a tight battle for survival
Things are equally interesting at the other end of the table. Huesca beat relegation rivals Elche 3-1 last weekend and subsequently leapfrogged their way out of the bottom three but teams as high as Getafe in 15th are in the mix in what promises to be a fascinating race for survival at the end of this crazy Pandemic season. There's seven points between six places and even bottom side Eibar are only four points from safety. Securing top flight football for next season is vitally important for the smaller clubs in the league and they will all be desperate to escape the situation sooner rather than later. Alaves in particular will be concerned by their season as they currently occupy the 19th position in the table. They have plenty of time to get out of it but for a side which in only 2017 finished 9th and a runner-up in the Copa Del Rey, the board will be scratching their heads at how they have ended up in this predicament. Who will beat the drop? You'll have to watch to find out.
