Betano has also been named as a regional sponsor for CWC in South America by FIFA

Global sports streaming service DAZN is set to launch and operate the FIFA+ over-the-top (OTT) platform worldwide, further solidifying its relationship with soccer's world governing body. Meanwhile, Betano, a sports betting brand owned by Kaizen Gaming, has been named as a regional partner for the Club World Cup (CWC) in South America.

DAZN's dedicated digital channel will be known as the "Home of Football". Initially, it will broadcast the entire FIFA Club World Cup competition which began on June 14. In addition to this coverage, a daily show titled 'The Press' will be introduced featuring tournament highlights and exclusive behind-the-scenes content.

Following the tournament's conclusion, an exclusive news service will be launched on this platform. This move comes after an exclusive global broadcast deal between FIFA and DAZN for the Club World Cup was agreed upon last year reportedly worth around $1 billion.

Expansive access for fans

FIFA+ aims to provide fans with access to over 150 men's and women's leagues from around the globe. It also includes national teams' games and historic moments from past years of FIFA tournaments. This partnership allows leagues and FIFA member associations to distribute their content globally.

DAZN is broadcasting all 63 Club World Cup matches from an expanded 32-team field free on its platform globally but has sublicensed rights to local free-to-air linear broadcast networks in several markets recently.

Shay Segev, DAZN Group CEO, said:

“This partnership with FIFA cements DAZN’s role as the ultimate digital destination for football, allowing fans everywhere to access a vast, premium football content library. Together with FIFA’s brand and reach, we will deliver an unmatched entertainment experience, supporting FIFA’s vision of expanding the game’s global footprint and engaging new audiences.”

Betano increasing its presence in football sponsorship

Betano has been named as a regional sponsor for CWC in South America by FIFA who continues expanding its commercial portfolio for this event. This agreement extends their existing relationship following Betano becoming FIFA’s first gambling sponsor for the upcoming 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Betano has been increasing its presence in soccer across multiple regions recently. It became the shirt sponsor of Argentinian heavyweights River Plate and also sponsors pan-European club soccer's Europa League and Conference League competitions.

Betano was a partner of the Copa America national teams' tournament in South America last year, and will be again for the 2028 edition of this quadrennial event. Other notable sponsorship deals include title sponsorship of top-tier leagues in Argentina and Brazil, as well as a front-of-shirt agreement with England’s Aston Villa.
