In addition to landing a new shirt-sleeve sponsor, Chelsea reportedly nearing the conclusion of negotiations for its front-of-shirt sponsor, with Gannon and Kline at the helm

Chelsea Football Club has announced a new shirt sleeve sponsorship deal with Vietnamese technology company, FPT Corporation. The agreement is set to last for the remainder of the 2025-26 season. FPT, one of Asia-Pacific’s most successful technology solutions providers, is based in Vietnam. The corporation had initially joined as an official global partner in April and was eager to upgrade their relationship with the club.

The negotiation process saw significant contributions from Chelsea president and chief operating officer Jason Gannon and president of commercial Todd Kline. This partnership aligns with other top Premier League clubs' deals and will feature FPT on the sleeves of men's, women's, and academy teams' shirts. Chelsea began this season without a shirt sleeve partner after Live Nation ended their stint from early February to July at FIFA Club World Cup Final but remained a partner at Chelsea.

Chelsea's impressive performance in 2024-25 sparked increased competition among companies vying for their shirt sleeve sponsor spot. After finishing fourth in Premier League qualifying them for Champions League and winning Conference League, they became even more attractive when they won Club World Cup beating Paris Saint-Germain. This success led more companies into bidding process for sleeve sponsorship which are expected to continue next season too.

Search for front-of-shirt sponsor nears conclusion

In addition to securing a new shirt-sleeve sponsor, sources have revealed that Chelsea is close to finalizing its front-of-shirt sponsor as well. With Gannon and Kline leading negotiations again, there are now less than a handful discussions left before reaching a conclusion soon. The negotiations have included the possibility of a multi-faceted partnership that extends beyond just having the company’s name displayed on Chelsea's kit.

Chelsea's search for a front-of-shirt sponsor has been ongoing since Todd Boehly-Clearlake consortium bought the club three years ago. The previous sponsorship agreement with mobile company Three ended in 2022-23. A deal worth over £40million was announced in September for rest of 2023-24 campaign with Infinite Athlete.

In 2024-25, Dubai-based property company Damac came on board in April for seven games, excluding Club World Cup. Chelsea has been engaging with several major companies over past few months to find right partner rather than rushing into an agreement. With their profile growing after winning two major trophies and playing in Champions League again, it has made them an even more attractive proposition and strengthened their bargaining position.
