This deal covers tournaments such as the W Gold Cup, W Nations League, W Championship national teams tournaments, and the W Champions Cup

CBS Sports, the Paramount-owned US sports network, has landed exclusive English-language rights to broadcast all women's competitions organized by Concacaf. This significant deal will deliver more than 250 live matches from Concacaf women's national and club competitions across the US.

The agreement extends through the 2029-30 season and involves streaming platform Paramount+ providing live coverage of all matches from four key women's competitions. Select matches will also be co-aired on the linear CBS Sports Network and CBS Sports Golazo Network.

The tournaments covered under this deal include W Gold Cup, W Nations League, W Championship national teams tournaments, and W Champions Cup. Coverage commences with the W Championship qualifiers on February 27, leading up to an eight-team championship scheduled for November and December. The results of these games will determine which nations qualify for prestigious events like FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 and the 2028 Summer Olympics.

Future tournaments & qualifications

Four editions (2026-27, 2027-28, 2028-29, and 2029-30) of the W Champions Cup are set to decide qualifications for FIFA Women’s Champions Cup in 2027 and 2029 as well as inaugural FIFA Women’s Club World Cup in 2028. In addition, soccer fans can look forward to witnessing history with the inaugural edition of the W Nations League in February-April of 2028 followed by finals later that year in November. The second edition of the much-awaited W Gold Cup is slated for summer in northern hemisphere during mid-year period of year - specifically around June-August - in year preceding end decade i.e., summer months (June-August) during middle part (mid-year period) or so of year 2029.

As part of the deal, CBS Sports will provide comprehensive coverage including highlights and editorial content across all competitions. This coverage will be available on CBS Sports Golazo Network, CBS Sports Network, CBSSports.com, and the CBS Sports app. Fans can also stay updated through @WGolazo social media handles. This agreement follows a similar deal struck by Concacaf with TelevisaUnivision in May last year for Spanish-language rights to women’s competitions through 2030.

Concacaf general secretary, Philippe Moggio, said:

“With the launch of a revamped Concacaf W ecosystem in 2024 – now featuring three major centralized senior national team competitions as well as an annual elite club tournament – our Member Associations and their teams have unprecedented opportunities to compete at the highest level, while their fans can closely follow and enjoy every step of the journey.”

The new rights build upon previous deals between CBS Sports and Concacaf in 2021 which covered exclusive English-language rights to national teams' properties. These included qualifiers for FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023, men's Nations League, and Women’s Nations League.

CBS has a rich history of soccer coverage with nearly 80 Concacaf men's World Cup qualifiers for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 under its belt. The network also holds broadcasting rights for other prominent soccer properties such as UEFA Women’s Champions League, Italy’s Serie A and Serie A Femminile, English Football League and Carabao Cup among others.
