CazeTV secured broadcasting rights last month for all 104 matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup

CazeTV, the Brazilian sports streaming platform operated by LiveMode agency and streamer Casimiro Miguel, has expanded its portfolio of major European soccer leagues. The latest addition to their offering is Italy's top-flight league, Serie A.

The streaming platform will have a package of digital rights for the upcoming 2025-26 season. This move strengthens CazeTV's position in the market and provides more options for soccer fans in Brazil. The games will be available on YouTube and Amazon Prime Video platform, which hosts CazeTV.

Disney currently holds primary Serie A rights in Brazil, airing matches on its Disney+ service and linear ESPN channels. However, this new deal signifies a shift from previous years where only Disney+ and ESPN had exclusive rights to broadcast Serie A matches in Brazil.

Breaking monopoly

Serie A’s strategy of securing multiple broadcasters breaks a four-year cycle of exclusivity. This approach mirrors that adopted by Germany’s Bundesliga in recent years within the territory.

In addition to Disney+, other platforms like XSports free-to-air TV channel also hold rights to Serie A broadcasts. They plan to air up to five matches per week. Previously, CazeTV provided coverage for Coppa Italia cup competition and Italian Super Cup but did not cover top league games until now.

Italy's top-flight features several Brazilian players such as Bremer (Juventus), Carlos Augusto (Inter Milan), David Neres (Napoli), and Ederson (Atalanta). Their presence is likely to attract a significant number of viewers from their home country who are keen on following their performances abroad.

Three out of Europe’s ‘big five’ leagues

With this deal secured, CazeTV now holds rights to three of Europe’s ‘big five’ leagues, including Bundesliga and France’s Ligue 1. The platform also broadcasts UEFA Europa League and Conference League matches.

Last month, CazeTV acquired rights to broadcast all 104 matches from the 2026 FIFA World Cup national teams tournament. This follows their coverage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, marking their first major rights deal after launching in the same year.

Since its launch in late 2022, CazeTV has covered some of the most high-profile sporting events worldwide. These include last year's Paris Olympic Games and NFL American football games played internationally. In February this year, they also acquired near-live and highlights rights for a range of top-tier South American soccer properties through to 2026. CazeTV's rapid expansion demonstrates its commitment to providing diverse sports content for fans across Brazil and beyond.
