International sports broadcaster, BeIN, has successfully extended its rights deal for the English soccer's knockout FA Cup competition through the 2025-26 campaign. This extension was announced ahead of the 2024-25 FA Cup final on Saturday (May 17), where Crystal Palace triumphed over Manchester City with a score of 1-0.
BeIN has been providing live coverage of the FA Cup to French audiences since 2012. With this extension, it will continue to exclusively broadcast next year's competition in France. The presence of French players such as Jean-Philippe Mateta and Maxence Lacroix in top-tier English squads like Crystal Palace adds an extra layer of interest for French viewers.
In addition to France, BeIN also covered the recent FA Cup across Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions as well as several Southeast Asian markets.
Other English competitions broadcasts
While BeIN holds rights for broadcasting the iconic FA cup matches live in France, other English soccer competitions are aired by different broadcasters. Canal Plus, a pay-TV service provider broadcasts Premier League matches live under a deal that runs through till 2027-28 season. Meanwhile, Women's Super League is shown live by W-Sports and Eurovision Sport platform.
Domestically within England though, TNT Sports along with public-service BBC broadcaster will be airing the FA cup matches for next four seasons.
Renewed partnership with Astro
In another significant move towards expanding its global reach, BeIN has renewed its strategic partnership with Malaysian pay-TV heavyweight Astro until August 2027. This renewal ensures that subscribers to Astro Sports Pack service can continue enjoying access to BeIN’s range of sports channels both live and on-demand via linear TV or through their BeIN Sports Connect app.
BeIN holds various top-tier sports rights in Malaysia, including motor racing's Formula 1, pan-European soccer's UEFA Champions League, and tennis' Australian and French Opens. Astro One Sports Pack customers can watch this content either live or on-demand through BeIN Sports Connect or Astro Go.
