Trossard is reportedly not expected to extend his current terms until 2027, but rather receive a pay raise in a new agreement

Arsenal winger, Leandro Trossard, continues to be a subject of transfer interest from the Middle East. However, recent reports suggest that he is likely to stay at Arsenal and may even be in line for a new deal.

Ryan Taylor of The Mirror reports that despite the ongoing interest in his signing from the Middle East, Trossard’s priority remains playing for Arsenal. Last September, Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad made a verbal offer for Trossard. However, no concrete offers have been put forward this summer.

As it stands now, there are strong indications that Trossard could be offered a new contract with Arsenal. BBC's Sami Mokbel reported last month that advanced talks were underway between Trossard and Arsenal regarding a new deal. All parties involved seemed confident about reaching an agreement soon. These talks reportedly began as early as January and have accelerated recently. Andrea Berta has been leading these discussions with Trossard expressing his preference to stay with the club.

No extension but pay increase expected

James McNicholas of The Athletic added another dimension to this story by stating that while contract talks were indeed happening, an extension was not expected on his current terms which run until 2027. Instead, it appears more likely that he will receive a pay increase under any new agreement.

Trossard has had an impressive performance record at Arsenal so far which makes him valuable to retain for the team management. In 2024/25 alone he provided 20 goals and assists across 56 appearances for Gunners making him one of their key players. Currently away on international duty with Belgium during this break period; upon return it will be interesting to see how these negotiations progress further given his importance within the team and interest from other clubs.

Despite transfer interest from the Middle East, Leandro Trossard seems set to stay at Arsenal. The player's preference and ongoing contract talks indicate that he may be in line for a new deal with a pay increase. His impressive performance record further strengthens his position within the club. As sports fans and sports betting enthusiasts keep an eye on this development, it will be interesting to see how this situation unfolds in the coming weeks.
