WBDS reveals groundbreaking Roland-Garros coverage plan

Eurosport will provide localized coverage of Roland-Garros in Germany, Spain, and France

Warner Bros Discovery Sports has released details of its plans to cover the upcoming Roland-Garros. They have announced a completely new presenter team that will add a new dimension to their broadcasting to showcase the best games of tennis.

The Roland-Garros Open will be broadcast live on Eurosport while on-demand streaming will be available on Discovery+.

WBDS has also announced their presentation team will include big names like Mats Wilander, Chris Evert and John McEnroe, Alex Corretja, Laura Robson and Alizé Lim in Paris.

Additionally, Eurosport will provide localized coverage of the competition in Germany, Italy and Spain, with Boris Becker, Barbara Rittner, Andrea Petkovic and Mischa Zverev presenting from Munich. 

It will be Robert Vinci who will provide the expertise for Eurosport Italy, while Conchita Martinez, Nicolas Almagro and Anabel Medina-Garrigues will provide Eurosport Spanish coverage.


Scott Young, SVP of Content and Production at Warner Bros and Discovery Sports Europe made an announcement saying:

“Our raison d’être is to connect fans with the sports and athletes they love. Our wall-to-wall coverage of Roland-Garros presents the perfect opportunity to do this by leveraging our rights, broadcast innovations and deep tennis expertise to scale coverage to the widest possible audience while telling the stories of this iconic tournament and its players.

“We are widely recognised as the Home of Tennis across Europe and are synonymous with Roland-Garros. We look forward to returning in our 35th year of broadcasting this tournament and will cover every angle to create the most complete experience for millions of fans.”

Eurosport will also premier a city tour series 

Eurosport will be adding some new content to their broadcasting as they will be broadcasting a new 8-episode series called Tales of Paris that will focus on the Parisian culture while visiting some of the city's most famous landmarks in a unique manner.

Eurosport will broadcast Roland-Garros in multiple ways that will enhance the viewers' experience to the next level, with 16 broadcast feeds, 6 beauty cameras, 2 feeds for press conferences and 2 interview green screens that will be linked to Eurosport's local studios.
