Spurs already have big names like Cristian Romero, and Micky van de Ven in their injury list

Tottenham Hotspur striker, Dominic Solanke, is set to be out of action for approximately six weeks following a knee injury. The news was confirmed by Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou on Thursday.

Solanke sustained the injury during a training session last week. As a result, he was unable to participate in the Premier League match against Everton on Sunday and missed Thursday's Europa League victory over Hoffenheim.

The 29-year-old forward has been an integral part of Tottenham's attacking force since his £55 million ($68 million) transfer from Bournemouth in the offseason. In his tenure with Spurs so far, Solanke has netted 11 goals in just 29 appearances.

Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham manager, said:

"With Dom, the information now is that we are looking at around the six-week mark, no surgery. Maybe we can get him back a little bit earlier, just see how he progresses.

"But, at this stage, it's saying around six weeks."

String of injuries for Spurs

Unfortunately, Tottenham have been grappling with several injuries recently. Postecoglou added Pape Matar Sarr to the list of injured players ahead of their trip to Hoffenheim. Other key first-team players who are currently sidelined include Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Guglielmo Vicario, Destiny Udogie and Brennan Johnson.

The absence of these key players could potentially impact Tottenham’s performance in upcoming matches. However, it also provides an opportunity for other squad members to step up and prove their worth.

This situation calls upon the team management and coaching staff at Spurs to strategize effectively and ensure that they continue delivering strong performances despite these setbacks. For sports fans and sports betting enthusiasts alike, these developments could significantly influence team dynamics and game outcomes in the coming weeks.
