The Argentine coach is likely to stay beyond this season at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea has been making headlines in the world of football, and it seems that their recent performance might have a significant impact on Mauricio Pochettino’s future. Todd Boehly, Chelsea chairman, has dropped a major hint about this matter after revealing the substantial change he’s observed in Chelsea’s last two matches.

In recent weeks, The Blues appear to have turned a corner. They've finally pushed themselves into the European spots after losing just one of their last 12 Premier League games. Currently sitting seventh in the table, they're showing signs of improvement and resilience.

Their last two results were particularly impressive as they scored seven goals against London rivals Tottenham and West Ham while keeping consecutive clean sheets. First was a 2-0 victory over Spurs at Stamford Bridge which allowed them to do the double over their neighbours. This was followed by an even more impressive 5-0 thrashing of West Ham at home where they showcased a silky performance.

Chelsea fighting to make Europa League finish

As Chelsea now faces final Premier League fixtures against Nottingham Forest, Brighton and Bournemouth, there is an opportunity for them to make a play to finish sixth in the league standings. These upcoming games will not only test their mettle but also potentially influence Pochettino's future with the club.

Just several weeks ago, Pochettino was under fire from disgruntled fans following a dismal 5-0 defeat to Arsenal. However, given Chelsea's recent performances and improved standing on the table, it appears that his position might be more secure than previously thought.

Boehly sees major change in attitude

Todd Boehly claims that these performances against Spurs and West Ham have heralded a major change in attitude within the team. He believes that there has been considerable improvement in atmosphere following The Blues' climb up the table.

Todd Boehly, Chelsea owner, said:

“We’ve seen the last two and a half games, at least in the second half at Villa (2-2) and Tottenham and West Ham where we played just beautiful football.

“It was so fluid, it was exactly the way we drew it up, when we came out of the back, built up and moved up the pitch.

“It was very organised and the number of shots we had on board. In those games you could really start to see what we were working on coming together. Even the commentary has changed over the last two and a half games. I’ve never seen anything change so quickly.”

The American chairman's positive words hint that Pochettino might be set for a reprieve for at least another season. This speculation provides a sense of relief and optimism among fans who have been concerned about the manager's future.

While it remains to be seen how Chelsea will fare in their upcoming matches, there is no denying that their recent performance has sparked hope and excitement among fans. The potential continuation of Mauricio Pochettino’s tenure as manager also adds an interesting dynamic to watch out for in the coming weeks. Regardless of what happens, these developments are sure to keep sports fans and sports betting enthusiasts on their toes.
