Selected Serie A would still be available on TNT Sports for UK viewers

In a significant move for football fans, both Serie A and Ligue 1 have decided to launch direct-to-consumer (D2C) streaming platforms in the UK and Ireland. This development will allow fans to access selected matches directly, bypassing traditional broadcasting channels. Selected Serie A matches will continue to be available through TNT Sports. However, the majority of games will now be accessible via the newly launched platform "Home Of Serie A". This platform is a result of a partnership between OneFootball and Serie A.

The "Home Of Serie A" platform offers eight exclusive games per matchday while sharing two others with TNT Sports. In addition to live streams, it also includes in-match and post-match highlights. The service is priced at £4.99 per match or £79.99 for all games from one club or £99.99 for all matches throughout the season. This deal builds on OneFootball’s previous rights agreement with Ligue 1, which allowed it to stream one game per matchday through its app.

Previously broadcasted by TNT Sports, Ligue 1 has now introduced its own D2C streaming service called "Ligue 1 Pass". Run by LFP Media, this new platform includes every game from the competition following constructive conversations with both free and subscription-based broadcasters in the region.

Endeavor streaming supports launch of Ligue 1 Pass

Endeavor Streaming played an instrumental role in supporting this launch. The new service promises not only comprehensive coverage but also original content produced specifically for this platform along with several innovative functionalities.

Currently available through web browsers, an app version of "Ligue 1 Pass" is set to be launched in time for the third round of games. The pass is priced at £9.99 per month.

The introduction of these D2C platforms by Serie A and Ligue 1 marks a significant shift in how football content is delivered to fans in the UK and Ireland. By offering direct access to matches, these leagues are enhancing viewer experience while also capitalizing on the growing trend of online streaming services.
