Manchester United's rising star, Leny Yoro, has finally broken his silence following criticism from football legends Thierry Henry and Jamie Carragher on Sky Sports.

On Sunday, Yoro was in the starting lineup for Manchester United as they faced Newcastle United at St. James' Park in a Premier League match. Unfortunately for the Red Devils, the Magpies emerged victorious with a 4-1 win thanks to Harvey Barnes' brace and goals from Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes.

Alejandro Garnacho managed to score for the visitors but it wasn't enough to turn the tide of the game.

Criticism on Sky Sports

The following Monday night on Sky Sports, Thierry Henry expressed heavy criticism towards Yoro's actions after Barnes scored his second goal. The Frenchman was irked by Yoro looking around after Newcastle’s goal was scored.

Thierry Henry. Arsenal legend, said:

"Leny Yoro doesn't go back to try and defend. The desire was on Newcastle's side. They're just not good enough. Pause on Yoro. I don't know why... I don't know what he is looking at? Are you looking at the linesman, trying to see if he is going to bail you out, I don't know?"

"I don't know if he thought there was an offside. We all know it's a goal. What are you looking at? I actually don't know. I've never seen that before."

Sky Sports has since deleted this clip while Jamie Carragher reportedly removed a post where he had responded with four weeping emojis.

On Tuesday, Leny Yoro broke his social media silence by posting an image of himself during the Newcastle match on Instagram accompanied by a quote: "Don't worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking him with a thankful heart." (Philippians 4:6) This response seems to be an indication that he is taking this setback as an opportunity for growth rather than letting it deter him.

Look into Leny’s career at Old Trafford

Leny joined Manchester United back in summer during the transfer window in a deal worth £52 million. His move came amidst apparent interest from Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid which raised expectations among fans and critics alike.

However, his career at United started on a sour note as he suffered an injury during the club's pre-season tour. Despite this setback, Yoro has made 25 appearances across all competitions and scored one goal. With just six matches left in the Premier League, Manchester United currently sits in 14th place with 38 points. The Red Devils are set to return to action on Thursday night when they take on Lyon at Old Trafford in the Europa League.

This season has been challenging for both Yoro and Manchester United. However, it is clear that despite criticism and setbacks, there is a determination to improve and succeed. As sports fans and sports betting enthusiasts watch closely, only time will tell how this young star will rise above these challenges.
