Thanks to these deals, Ligue 1 will be broadcasted in 215 global territories via 50 partners this season

LFP Media, the commercial arm of French club soccer’s governing body, has successfully secured new broadcast deals in several international markets for the 2025-26 season. These agreements cover territories across Europe, Asia, and North America.

The newly struck deals include partnerships with Fox Sports in Mexico, BeIN Sports in Hong Kong, Mono (Thailand), VTVcab (Vietnam), Pro TV/Voyo (Romania), and PBS (Malta). This follows a recent collaboration with Sky Italia - a pay-TV giant that marks its return to the market this season after a one-year hiatus.

With these agreements in place, Ligue 1 will be available this season in an impressive 215 territories around the world through a network of 50 broadcast partners.

Expansion of Ligue 1+ DTC platform

In addition to these partnerships, there is also significant progress on the digital front. The recently launched direct-to-consumer platform - Ligue 1+, which broadcasts most games domestically - is expanding into global markets. Already active in France along with United Kingdom and Ireland; it will soon be available to sports fans in Italy as well.

China remains a priority market for the LFP. A new rights deal has been agreed upon for broadcasting second-tier league matches – Ligue 2 – within China. This season will see four matches per day being made available on CY Sports channel via Douyin and Kuaishou platforms.

Ligue 1 continues its presence on state broadcaster CCTV that airs four matches per day while streaming service Migu offers all matches to Chinese viewers.

Management by Infront Agency

Currently, Infront agency manages international media rights to both leagues across Europe, Asia and Oceania from seasons between 2024-25 and 2028-29. The LFP has faced challenges with its domestic media rights after DAZN, a global sports streaming service, terminated its five-year contract after just one season. This led to the launch of the Ligue 1+ platform.

The 2025-26 Ligue 1 season kicked off on August 15, while Ligue 2 began on August 9. The highlight of this weekend's top-flight matches will be Lyon facing Marseille on Sunday.

These new international deals represent a significant step forward for French soccer’s governing body in expanding their reach and influence across the globe. With an increasing number of territories gaining access to watch games live, it's clear that interest in French football is growing worldwide.
