Mourinho has been out of any action from football since leaving Roma

Jose Mourinho, the three-time Premier League-winning manager, has secured a new role four months after his departure from AS Roma. However, this time around, he won't be seen in the dugout but will join a star-studded TNT Sports pundit line-up for the upcoming Champions League final.

Earlier this month, speculations were rife about Mourinho's return to the Premier League when Chelsea and Mauricio Pochettino decided to part ways. Simultaneously, Manchester United was reviewing Erik ten Hag's future. However, both clubs have since moved on with their managerial appointments.

Chelsea has appointed outgoing Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca while United is reportedly considering Mauricio Pochettino, Roberto De Zerbi and Thomas Tuchel as potential replacements for Ten Hag. Despite an impressive career with trophy-laden spells at Porto, Inter Milan and Real Madrid - not forgetting his stints at Chelsea and Manchester United - it seems that Mourinho will have to wait a bit longer for his next managerial opportunity.

A star-studded line-up for Champions League final

Mourinho's expertise will be put to good use during Saturday evening’s Champions League final showdown between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund. The 61-year-old manager is set to join TNT Sports pundit panel which includes football legends like Rio Ferdinand (Manchester United), Owen Hargreaves (Manchester United), Steve McManaman (Liverpool) and Ally McCoist (Rangers).

Given his past experience managing Real Madrid from 2010-2013 where he led them to two domestic trophies along with a La Liga title; Mourinho should provide valuable insights into Los Blancos' strategy against Dortmund in the finals.

Real Madrid reached this year’s final after defeating reigning European champions Manchester City in the quarter-finals and scraping a narrow victory over Bayern Munich in the semis. Dortmund, on the other hand, is hoping to upset the odds after a disappointing fifth-place finish in Bundesliga.

Mourinho keen to return as manager

As Mourinho continues his search for his next long-term opportunity, he has reportedly held talks with Saudi Pro League side Al Qadsiah. Last year, the veteran coach expressed his openness to managing in the Middle East.

Jose Mourinho, former Chelsea manager, said:

"I will go to Saudi Arabia in some free time, but I am convinced that I will work there, I don't know when, but I am pretty sure of it. No one knows the future, but I will definitely do this. Doors are always open for me in Saudi Arabia. I want to feel the development there."

While fans eagerly await Mourinho's next move, they can look forward to his expert analysis during this weekend's Champions League final showdown.
