Arch-rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid will lock horns on Saturday

The first edition of El Clasico in the 2023-24 season is set to be a thrilling encounter. La Liga fans in the United States will be pleased to learn that Saturday's showdown between Barcelona and Real Madrid will be broadcast on ESPN+ and ESPN Deportes.

Despite a recent draw against Sevilla, Real Madrid maintains its position at the top of the La Liga table after 10 games. Barcelona, on the other hand, trails its old foe by a single point. The winner of this game will have the opportunity to create an early gap in the table, marking a significant milestone after a quarter of the season.

How to watch Barcelona vs Real Madrid in the US

  • Kick-Off: 10:15am (ET); 7:15 am (PT)
  • Channel: ESPN+ and ESPN Deportes

El Clasico will be exclusively available to ESPN+ for English-language audiences. This follows the trend from last season when both league meetings between the two clubs were featured on ESPN+. The game will include pregame and postgame coverage in both English and Spanish.

The English-language pregame coverage will be available on ESPN2, while the Spanish-language introduction will be exclusive to ESPN+.

The Spanish-language commentators for the game will be Fernando Palomo and Mario Kempes. The coverage will also feature pitchside reporters for both Spanish and English audiences. For English viewers, the reporters in Barcelona will be Alexis Nunes, Luis Garcia, and Sid Lowe. Spanish audiences will be updated by Moises Llorens and Martin Ainstein.

Team form

Both clubs are in fine form ahead of El Clasico. Real Madrid has secured eight wins in 10 La Liga games, despite a 1-1 draw against Sevilla. They are tied with Girona on points but have a superior goal differential.

Barcelona, the last remaining unbeaten team in La Liga, has slipped behind Real Madrid and Girona due to three draws. The Catalans have been struggling with their defense, having already conceded half the number of goals they allowed last season.

Saturday's El Clasico promises to be a thrilling encounter, with both teams vying for supremacy in the La Liga table. With the teams in fine form and the return of key players, the stage is set for a classic showdown.
