The Former Chelsea manager will join Prime Video as expert for rest of season

Former Chelsea manager, Graham Potter, has taken a new turn in his career as he steps into the world of television. After an unsuccessful stint at Stamford Bridge and being out of management since April 2023, Potter is now preparing for a return to football management while also making his mark on TV.

Potter took over from fan favourite Thomas Tuchel but struggled to replicate his predecessor's success. Winning just 12 out of 31 matches during his tenure at Chelsea, it was clear that things were not going according to plan. Despite this setback, Potter remains hopeful for a return to management and has been linked with several high-profile jobs including Manchester United and England.

Transitioning from management to punditry

In the interim period following his departure from Chelsea, Potter has been seen on TV screens as a guest pundit for Sky Sports. His insights into games have provided viewers with unique perspectives drawn from his managerial experience. However, he is now set for another role in television. Clubs considering managerial changes will undoubtedly be keeping tabs on him as he continues showcasing his expertise off the pitch.

Potter will be appearing on Amazon Prime Video this week as part of their coverage of ten Premier League matches. This move marks another step in Potter's career transition while also adding more star power to Amazon Prime Video’s football coverage line-up. He isn't alone though; former top-flight players such as Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink, Theo Walcott and Dimitar Berbatov are all set to feature throughout the week alongside other big names like Roberto Martinez, Gary Cahill and Emile Heskey.

The presenting team includes former Sky Sports hero Jeff Stelling along with popular presenters Gabby Logan and Kelly Somers. However, it is Potter who could be the pundit to watch as he lines up a return to management.

Life after Chelsea

In a recent interview, Potter revealed several interesting ways he had passed the time following his Chelsea exit over 20 months ago. While these details remain undisclosed, it's clear that Potter has been keeping busy and preparing for his next steps in football.

Former Chelsea manager, Graham Potter, said:

“The most important thing was to be with my family and friends, just connect with them. I spent some time with Steve Borthwick at England rugby. I went to the US and saw some sports over there, some organisations.

“I went to the Falklands and did a leadership talk, and, much to the horror of my 14-year-old boy, I went to see Taylor Swift in concert. He’s not as much of a fan as me.”

As sports fans and sports betting enthusiasts tune into Amazon Prime Video’s coverage of Premier League matches this week, they will be eager to see how Graham Potter fares in his new role. His insights from both managerial and punditry perspectives are sure to add an extra layer of depth to the viewing experience.
