Globo, a leading Brazilian media company, and CazeTV, a sports streaming channel run by Casemiro Miguel, have secured the domestic rights to broadcast the FIFA Women’s World Cup (WWC) in 2027. The tournament will be held in Brazil for the first time.
The deal was announced by FIFA, the world soccer governing body. Under this agreement, Globo will air all 64 fixtures on its SporTV pay-TV platform while providing free-to-air access to 56 games via its TV Globo network.
On the other hand, CazeTV will offer exclusive live coverage of all matches on third-party digital platforms. This includes full live streaming for free along with comprehensive pre- and post-match programming. CazeTV is primarily distributed through YouTube but is also available on Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, Samsung TV Plus, and Sky+ – where it launched its first linear channel.
Jill Ellis, FIFA chief football officer, said:
“Both broadcasters have demonstrated long-standing support for women’s football in Brazil, having played a pivotal role in driving audience growth and visibility in recent years.”
Historic event in South America
The Women's World Cup 2027 event marks a historic moment as it's set to take place from June 24 to July 25 - being the first edition ever hosted in South America. The tournament will see participation from thirty-two nations across eight host cities. FIFA stated that both broadcasters would ensure maximum coverage of this event by utilizing Free-To-Air television (FTA), pay TV and online streaming platforms.
This deal further strengthens CazeTV’s growing influence in Brazilian sports rights scene. Previously covering action from men’s FIFA World Cup in 2022 before securing rights for all matches from upcoming edition staged across US, Canada & Mexico in 2026 shows their expanding footprint.
In a remarkable display of growth and expansion, CazeTV has made significant strides in acquiring broadcasting rights this year alone. They have managed to secure near-live and highlights rights for a variety of top-tier South American soccer properties, extending through 2026. In addition to this, they have also obtained the rights for the prestigious Copa Libertadores and the second-tier Copa Sudamericana pan-continental club competitions. Most recently, they have broadened their soccer portfolio by adding Italy’s Serie A to their offerings for the 2025-26 season.
CazeTV has also broadcasted some of the most high-profile sporting events worldwide, including last year's Paris Olympics and NFL American football games played internationally.
Shared coverage of World Cup 2026
For the upcoming World Cup in 2026, CazeTV will air half of the games alongside Globo. The latter holds rights to 52 fixtures, including those set to be played by Brazilian men's national team through a deal struck in late 2022.
Globo’s original agreement for rights to the World Cup in 2026 stipulated that it would not hold exclusive rights due to financial considerations. This partnership between Globo and CazeTV promises extensive coverage of FIFA Women's World Cup in Brazil - an exciting prospect for sports fans and sports betting enthusiasts alike.
