Channel 4 will be airing one game per round and the competition's final

Filmnova, a leading sports production company, has been selected to produce Channel 4's coverage of the Women’s FA Cup. The coverage will commence with the Wolves vs Nottingham Forest match on December 13th.

Channel 4 is set to broadcast one match per round and the final from the competition. This initiative is part of a co-exclusive agreement with TNT Sports, following a three-year rights deal signed with the Football Association (FA) earlier this year.

The move marks an exciting new chapter in women's football broadcasting, offering fans more access and insight into their favourite teams and players than ever before.

Jill Scott and Maisie Adam take centre stage

Former Lioness Jill Scott and comedian Maisie Adam have been chosen as presenters for this groundbreaking coverage. Their journey will be documented in "Jill And Maisie’s Road To Wembley", which will air before each match. Filmed in the host town or city on the eve of each game, they'll meet supporters, club characters, and local personalities.

Pete Andrews, head of sport Channel 4, said:

“Jill and Maisie are fantastic signings and we’re delighted to be working with FilmNova on this exciting new chapter for the Adobe Women’s FA Cup. Their fun, fan-focussed creative vision is full of character and will bring something genuinely fresh to football coverage. We can’t wait for viewers to experience it.”

This unique approach aims to delve into stories that encapsulate team pride and local culture while providing viewers with an immersive experience that goes beyond traditional sports broadcasting.

In addition to meeting fans and exploring local culture, Scott and Adam will take viewers behind-the-scenes at matches. They'll interact with players, coaches, pundits offering insights that were previously reserved for insiders only. This extensive digital crossover content promises to add another layer of depth to viewers' understanding of what it takes to compete at such high levels in women's football.

The build-up towards Wolves vs Nottingham Forest begins at 11:45 am on December 13th on Channel 4; kick-off is scheduled for 12:15 pm. As the anticipation builds, fans can look forward to a fresh and engaging approach to women's football coverage.
