All 75 matches from the upcoming season will be broadcasted live on FanCode through its streaming service and mobile app

FanCode, the Indian digital sports-focused streaming service, has secured exclusive media rights to broadcast the UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) 2025-26 campaign. This latest deal adds to a growing list of new media rights agreements that UEFA's governing body has been securing for its top-tier club competition.

FanCode will air all 75 matches from the upcoming season live via its streaming service and mobile app. In addition, it will provide one free-to-air (FTA) match per week during the competition to ensure broad visibility across India. The coverage kicked off with a draw between Italy’s Juventus and Portugal’s Benfica. The first match day also saw defending champions Arsenal (England) lose their opening game against regular winners Lyon (France) at Meadow Park in London.

FanCode co-founder, Yannick Colaco, said:

“The UEFA Women’s Champions League represents the pinnacle of women’s club football, and we are delighted to bring it to the fans. Women’s sports in India have gained traction in the last few years, and at FanCode, we are delighted to play our role in enabling access to the marquee events from across the globe.”

Other notable results included Spanish giants Barcelona starting their campaign with a resounding 7-1 victory over Germany’s Bayern Munich, while France’s Paris FC managed a draw against Belgium’s Leuven.

Expanding women's sports coverage

The securing of UWCL rights by FanCode is a strategic move that aligns with their broader objective to broaden their coverage of women's sports. The platform has already established itself as a significant player in the broadcasting of major women's sporting events. This includes soccer, where they cover prestigious tournaments like the 2025 UEFA Women’s European Champions and English Women’s Super League; golf, where they feature the Ladies European Tour; and cricket, where they showcase top-tier T20 leagues from around the world.

For the upcoming season, UWCL has introduced changes in its format. It now includes an initial league phase featuring 18 teams followed by playoff rounds which increases the number of games available for fans.

The league phase began recently and will include six matchdays running through mid-December. Knockout rounds are scheduled to commence in February, with the season concluding at the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo, Norway, in May next year. FanCode's acquisition of UWCL rights is a significant step towards promoting women's sports and providing fans with comprehensive coverage of their favorite games. With its wide range of offerings and commitment to broad visibility, FanCode is set to become a go-to platform for sports enthusiasts across India.
