Under the new agreement, customers will need to pay an additional $30 per month for DAZN, on top of their existing $9 monthly Prime Video subscription

Global sports subscription service, DAZN, has secured a distribution deal with Amazon's Prime Video streaming service in the UK and the US. This move expands on existing partnerships between DAZN and Prime Video in France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Japan, and Canada.

The new agreement stipulates that DAZN will require a $30-per-month subscription fee. This is an additional cost to the $9 customers currently pay per month for a Prime Video package.

For those willing to pay the extra fee, over 185 boxing fight nights annually will be available to Prime Video subscribers in both countries. Additionally, viewers can enjoy action from Italian soccer's top-tier Serie A and all LIV Golf events. Prime Video already holds rights to Thursday Night Football from NFL in the US. In addition to this are rights for UEFA Champions League matches in the UK and action from basketball's NBA globally.

Shay Segev, chief executive at the overall DAZN Group, said:

"With more than 185 fights per year, hundreds of football matches, basketball games, and more, we’re delighted to showcase the breadth of offerings and content DAZN has to offer to even more audiences. It’s another step forward in bringing the best that sport has to offer to fans across the globe.”

Other subscriptions available on Prime Video

Besides DAZN’s offering of sports content through its channel on Amazon’s platform; HBO Max, Peacock, Fox One, discovery+, Apple TV+, and Paramount+ are also available as subscriptions for customers based either or both in the US/UK.

In late October 2021, Prime Video acquired global rights to broadcast National Football League’s (NFL) showpiece Black Friday fixture. The game features Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles against Chicago Bears scheduled for November 28th. With these rights acquisition by prime video it now has access to showcase it across more than 240 global markets. This marks another milestone as it is first time that prime video has acquired global broadcasting rights of an NFL game although similar concept was tested earlier by YouTube when they aired Brazil international game globally followed by Netflix in 2024 when they aired NFL’s Christmas Day games globally.

The new deal between DAZN and Prime Video is a significant development for sports fans and sports betting enthusiasts. It not only expands the range of available content but also provides an opportunity to watch more live sports events. However, it does come with an additional cost which may be a deciding factor for some viewers.
