Inter Miami, with nine Argentines already in their team, is also keen on acquiring Delgado

Chelsea Football Club, the West London powerhouse, is reportedly ready to compete for the signature of Argentine midfielder Milton Delgado. The Boca Juniors starlet has attracted interest from several clubs worldwide, including Inter Miami and Sevilla.

The Blues already have a strong connection with Boca Juniors. In August 2024, they signed Aarón Anselmino from the Argentine club. Although Anselmino is currently on loan with Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea are keen to reunite him with his former teammate Delgado.

Inter Miami also shows significant interest in acquiring Delgado. The MLS club already boasts nine Argentines in their squad – Lionel Messi being the most notable among them – and they envision Delgado forming a formidable midfield partnership with Rodrigo de Paul.

Anticipated multi-transfer offers for Delgado

Once the January transfer window opens, it is expected that there will be multiple offers for this promising player. Despite being under contract until 2028, his release clause stands at only US $20 million (£15m), making him an attractive prospect for many clubs.

Boca Juniors are attempting to secure him on a new deal that includes a significantly larger release clause. However, it appears that Delgado prefers to keep his options open before making any firm decision about his future.

As we approach the January transfer window opening date, all eyes will be on Milton Delgago as he becomes one of football’s hottest commodities. With Chelsea and other top-tier clubs vying for his signature alongside Inter Miami's ambitious project led by Messi & Co., fans can expect an exciting bidding war ahead. This situation serves as another testament to Argentina's ability to produce world-class talent consistently and how these players are sought after by the biggest clubs in world football. Whether Delgado will choose to stay with Boca Juniors or take his talents abroad remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: his future looks bright.
