International pay-TV sports heavyweight, BeIN Media Group, has secured a multi-year extension of its exclusive broadcast partnership with the English Premier League. This deal extends to 24 territories across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and will run through the 2027-28 campaign.
Under this agreement, BeIN Sports channels will continue to showcase all 380 Premier League games each season. The coverage will also be available via their TOD streaming service. This ensures that fans in these regions won't miss a single moment of action from one of the most popular football leagues in the world.
The live broadcasts will feature both English- and Arabic-language coverage. Additional programming such as magazine shows, pre- and post-match analysis, daily highlights broadcasts, and weekly wrap-up programs are also included in this comprehensive package.
Long-Standing partnership
BeIN has been broadcasting the Premier League across the MENA region since 2013. The existing three-year contract with the league was set to expire at the end of the 2024-25 season but this renewal ensures continuity for fans in these territories.
The deal covers major markets such as Algeria, Egypt, Iran, Morocco, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE among others - making it an extensive reach within key players in MENA region.
This new partnership is reportedly worth about £550 million ($742.3million), marking a significant increase from their previous deal valued at around $500 million.
Star power attracts viewership
In particular for audiences within MENA market are star players like Algeria’s Rayan Aït-Nouri (Manchester City), Egypt’s Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) and Omar Marmoush (Manchester City), Morocco’s Nayef Aguerd (West Ham), Noussair Mazraoui (Manchester United) and Chadi Riad (Crystal Palace), and Tunisia’s Hannibal Mejbri(Burnley).
BeIN MENA, chief executive, Mohammad Al-Subaie, said:
“This renewal not only signifies our enduring commitment to providing the highest quality sports content on BeIN Sports and reinforces our leading position in the MENA region, but also demonstrates the trust that the Premier League has in us.”
In addition to the Premier League, BeIN also holds rights for other prestigious soccer competitions in the region. These include European soccer’s elite UEFA Club competitions. In the 2024-25 campaign, BeIN also broadcast England's FA Cup matches. This continued partnership between BeIN Media Group and Premier League is a testament to their commitment to providing high-quality football content for fans across MENA region. It not only ensures that viewers have access to all Premier League games but also enhances their viewing experience with additional programming.
