Sergio Reguilon is reportedly on his way out to Turkey

Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham Hotspur manager, has issued a stern warning to Sergio Reguilon. The Spanish left-back might face exclusion from the first-team squad if he fails to secure a move to either Turkey or Saudi Arabia. The frantic final hours leading up to Friday’s transfer deadline saw Spurs in a race against time. They were eager to offload both Sergio Reguilon and Giovani Lo Celso. While it was widely reported that Spurs were keen on moving these players on, only one managed to find a new home before the deadline.

Lo Celso successfully completed his return move back to Real Betis just in time. However, despite efforts from all parties involved, Reguilon was unable to secure an exit from Spurs before the 11 pm deadline.

Despite this setback, the 27-year-old continues his training with the first-team at Hotspur Way while hoping for an opportunity in Turkey or Saudi Arabia where their transfer market is still open.

Potential squad exclusion for Reguilon

Postecoglou hinted at potential consequences should Reguilon fail in securing his desired move away from Tottenham. The Australian manager suggested that failure could result in him being frozen out of Tottenham's senior squad. When asked about whether Lo Celso and Reguilon would be integrated back into the squad if they failed finding new clubs, Postecoglou responded cryptically but with clear implications of what might befall them under such circumstances.

Ange Postecoglou, Tottenham Hotspur manager, said:

“No, they don’t have to get integrated back into the squad. It’s their decision. It’s pretty clear where they sit in terms of where we are as a squad and where we are as a team, but, you know, I’ve never been one to force people out.

“They’ve got decisions about their own careers and what they want to do, and if they’re still here, they’re still here. We’ll work around that scenario, but it certainly won’t affect the way we work in the first team.”

With this warning fired by Postecoglou towards Sergio Regulion, it is clear that there are high stakes involved for players during transfer windows. It remains uncertain what will happen next for these players who have not yet secured their moves away from their current clubs. For sports fans and sports betting enthusiasts, these developments provide an interesting twist to the dynamics of team composition and performance. It also adds another layer of intrigue to the already exciting world of football transfers.
