The departure of Neymar likely to be key behind Salah’s transfer

Saudi Pro League club, Al Hilal, are reportedly on the verge of signing Liverpool's star duo, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk. According to a report from Fichajes, both players are set to join Jorge Jesus’s team upon the expiry of their contracts at the end of the 2024/25 season.

Salah is currently enjoying one of his best seasons with Liverpool. With an impressive tally of 21 goals and 17 assists in just 30 outings, his sensational form has been instrumental in driving the Reds' dominant run across all competitions. Despite being a key player under Arne Slot's management, Salah's future at Anfield remains uncertain due to his expiring contract.

Liverpool have reportedly been making efforts to extend his stay; however, Salah has consistently maintained that no progress has been made regarding a new deal. At age 32, he still seems to be at the peak of his powers. While Liverpool would undoubtedly prefer him around for more seasons, it appears he is heading towards a new chapter in Saudi Arabia.

Al Hilal eager for new star following Neymar’s departure

Al Hilal are keen on incorporating Salah into their team as they search for their next big star following Neymar’s almost certain departure. The Saudi outfit had previously invested heavily in signing Neymar; however this move hasn't worked out as expected due to persistent injuries plaguing the Brazilian star.

Neymar hasn’t been registered for the second half of Saudi Pro League season which hints towards an imminent departure when his contract expires this summer. To fill this void left by Neymar’s exit and bolster their squad strength further, Al Hilal are looking forward not only sign Salah but also close in on securing Van Dijk's signature.

Van Dijk set to join Salah at Al Hilal

Liverpool skipper, Van Dijk's contract is also nearing its end. Despite numerous reports suggesting that he is close to extending his stay at the Merseyside club, no concrete developments have been reported so far. Al Hilal are prepared to offer him a lucrative deal enticing him to move to the Middle East.

Van Dijk’s arrival could significantly enhance their backline by adding a wealth of experience and quality. The 33-year-old could form an excellent partnership with Kalidou Koulibaly and help their team ascend further in the league standings. The duo's arrival will not only strengthen Al Hilal’s squad but also make the Saudi Pro League a more attractive option for other top players.

These potential signings by Al Hilal signify an exciting phase for sports fans and sports betting enthusiasts alike as they anticipate how these changes might impact future games and odds in the Saudi Pro League.
