Genk vs West Ham United

Published:
David Moyes just can't go wrong right now domestically or in Europe. West Ham hammered Aston Villa 4-1 at the weekend away from home to move into fourth place. They are flying in the Europa League. Three games, three wins, seven goals scored, zero conceded. They will hope to continue that domination tonight when they travel to Belgian side Genk, who they comfortably dispatched 3-0 at the London Stadium two weeks ago. The Premier League side may rest some players with a big game against Liverpool coming up at the weekend and qualification for the next round all but guaranteed.

Genk are propping up Group H with their only win coming against Rapid Vienna. Their domestic form isn't so great either, having lost four of their last six Belgian Pro League games. Fortunately for them things are tight in both competitions and there's still hope. Despite sitting seventh in the league they are only four points off third with their domestic campaign more than salvageable. The same can be said in the Europa League. West Ham are six points clear of everyone at the top, but Genk, Vienna and Dinamo Zagreb are all level on three points. One thing Genk will need to be mindful of if they want to try to qualify in their last two group games is goal difference. On -5 they are at a major disadvantage as it stands, and therefore even if they lose tonight they will need to keep the score down.

Daniel Munoz is suspended for the Belgians but besides that they will have a full strength squad to choose from. West Ham have no injury worries but may field a slightly changed side and give some key players a rest.
