The Champions League second round is really heating up as several favourites to win the competition must fight tonight to keep their dreams alive, with one particular giant of the game needing a miracle, one which they have pulled off before in the recent past. There is a lot of narrative in both of these games and we should be in for a lot of action. But who is playing and when? How and where can you watch the Champions league tonight? Sporticos is here to tell you everything you need to know.

Which UEFA Champions League matches are on tonight?

Wednesday 10th March 2021
Paris Saint Germain v Barcelona (Agg: 4-1)
TV Coverage: Channel BT Sport 3

Kick off: 8pm (UK time)
Stadium: Parc Des Princes, Paris

Barcelona will look to replicate their iconic comeback victory over PSG in 2017 when they overturned a 4-0 first leg deficit by winning 6-1 in the return tie to progress to the Champions League Quarter Finals. Only true optimists will believe. Barcelona are vastly inferior to the side they were then, a starting line-up which included Andres Iniesta, Luis Suarez and Neymar. PSG, on the other hand, are a much improved team boasting one of the most dangerous attacking threats in the world in Kylian Mbappe. The Catalans will however be pleased to know that their former striker Neymar will miss out due to a thigh injury. Another key difference between this match and 2017 is that Barca staged that action-packed comeback in a rocking Camp Nou, while tonight they will be on enemy territory at the Parc des Princes.

Wednesday 10th March 2021
Liverpool v RB Leipzig (2-0)
TV Coverage: Channel BT Sport 2/BT Sport Ultimate

Kick off: 8pm (UK time)
Stadium: Puskas Arena, Budapest

Premier League Champions Liverpool "host" RB Leipzig at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest with a 2-0 lead from the first leg. The fixture was moved to a neutral stadium due to Covid-19 restrictions. Liverpool will surely hope to shake off their disastrous domestic form and could see winning this tournament again as their only route back into the Champions League next year. Leipzig on the other hand will smell blood in the water. The Red Bulls have won their last four games since the first leg as they continue to push German champions Bayern Munich all the way in the Bundesliga, while the Premier League champions have lost three in four, their only win coming against bottom side Sheffield United, as part of a run which has seen them lose their last six consecutive home games and left them languishing in 8th position, seven points adrift of the Champions League qualification places.

Prediction: Paris Saint Germain v Barcelona (Agg: 4-1)

Barcelona have a real mountain to climb this time. They will need to play the best football of their lives to get out of Paris with a win. No team has ever qualified from a knockout tie in the Champions League after losing the first leg at home by three goals or more. Perhaps the famed front three of Neymar, Suarez and Messi could have pulled it off but it is difficult to see how a fledgling, inexperienced outfit led by the Argentine in his final years can overcome such a deficit. It will always be difficult to count Messi and Barcelona out. Even in this team and at his age, he is still the top scorer in La Liga this season. However, the five time Champions League winners will be without defenders Gerard Pique and Ronald Araujo which should make them even more exposed at the back. Expect them to push forward early in search of a goal to galvanise them but if they get caught out by Mbappe and co, they could be in for one of the most humiliating aggregate defeats in the club's history. French Champions PSG are playing some fine football under Mauricio Pochettino and this could be the perfect situation for them to shine.

Predicted Final Score: Paris Saint Germain 3-2 Barcelona (Agg: 7-3)

Prediction: Liverpool v RB Leipzig (Agg: 2-0)

Given Liverpool's horrendous defence of their Premier League title this season, one which led Roy Keane to controversially describe them as "bad champions", it seems almost miraculous that they should be in the driving seat of a second round tie against top opposition, but somehow they are here on the brink of the Quarter Finals of the Champions League. Coach Jurgen Klopp is encouraged by the return of Fabinho to his midfield and is determined that the club's torrid run of form in England over recent months won't impact this match. The old mantra that every match is different will be the only comfort for Klopp going into this one. Julian Nagelsmann, on the other hand, will want to build on the consistency his side have shown this term in the Bundesliga, where they currently sit just two points behind champions Bayern Munich having won their past six league fixtures. Leipzig will try to get on the front foot and get an early goal hoping to overwhelm a side bereft of confidence. If the Germans apply enough pressure, Liverpool's makeshift back line is sure to buckle and grant them opportunities. If Nagelsmann's side can get a goal before the break, they should be able to make them crumble and send them crashing out of the Champions League, adding further insult to injury.

Predicted Final Score: Liverpool 1-3 RB Leipzig (Agg: 3-3)
