Paul Parker has come out in support of Hojlund for not getting support

Manchester United legend, Paul Parker, has recently criticized the club's duo Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho. According to Parker, their playing style is making it difficult for young striker Rasmus Hojlund to perform at his best.

Parker's comments come in response to Roy Keane's claims that Hojlund has not been doing enough for Manchester United. Contrary to Keane's views, Parker believes the issue lies with Rashford and Garnacho who are not providing adequate service to the young striker.

Former Manchester United defender, Paul Parker, said:

"Honestly, it must be crap to be Rasmus Hojlund and play with those teammates. No strikers want to play alongside Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho."I've seen that Roy Keane has said that Hojlund hasn't shown enough desire to score goals, but it must also be difficult when you never get the ball."

"However, I can see where Keane is coming from because Hojlund sometimes doesn't make the runs into the box, which is a weakness. He needs to improve on that."On the other hand, all Man Utd fans understand him. Why should he exert energy on it when he won't get the ball anyway? I've said it before, but he needs to be more selfish. He should demand to get the ball every time."

Parker has urged Hojlund to be more selfish to succeed

Hojlund has scored only twice in the Premier League this season but boasts an impressive record of five goals in six UEFA Champions League games. This disparity suggests that he may be struggling due to a lack of support from his teammates rather than a lack of effort or skill on his part.

In addition to criticizing Rashford and Garnacho, Paul Parker also urged Rasmus Hojlund himself to step up his game. He believes that while Hojlund possesses all the qualities needed for success at Manchester United, he needs to adopt a more selfish approach on the field.

Before joining Manchester United last summer from Serie A club, Atalanta for £72 million, Hojlund had scored 10 times in 34 games. Since then he has managed eight goals across 26 games in all competitions for The Red Devils.

Hojlund is still an unfinished product and needs time to adapt

While it is clear that there are differing opinions about what is causing Rasmus Hojuland’s struggles at Manchester United - whether it be lack of support from teammates or personal performance - what remains consistent is the belief in his potential as a top-class striker.

The challenge now for Hojlund, Rashford, Garnacho and the rest of the Manchester United team is to find a way to work together effectively on the field. This will not only benefit Hojlund's performance but also contribute to the overall success of Manchester United.

Paul Parker's comments serve as a reminder that football is a team sport where every player has an important role in supporting their teammates while also showcasing their individual brilliance.
