With the semi final stage underway, four teams have a chance of winning their first silverware of the season

This season's edition of the Carabao Cup is down to its final four. Manchester City, having won the last four iterations of the cup, were knocked out by West Ham earlier in the competition, suffering their first Carabao Cup defeat since October 2016. Now a new Champion must be crowned and four of the Premier League's biggest clubs remain in the fight - Spurs, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal.

The bitter London derby between Tottenham and Chelsea will reach its conclusion tonight as Antonio Conte's side attempt to overcome a two goal deficit from their first leg. Liverpool and Arsenal are running a little late because their first leg was postponed due to a reported Covid outbreak at Anfield. This proved not to be the case with only Trent Alexander-Arnold contracting the virus and all other results declared "false positives". The authorities have confirmed they will not be seeking disciplinary action against Jurgen Klopp's side.

When and where will the Carabao Cup Final take place?

One half of the final will be confirmed tonight with either Spurs or Chelsea going through, while Liverpool and Arsenal will play their first leg tomorrow (Jan 13) and second leg next Thursday (Jan 20), at which point the two teams competing in the final will be official.

The match itself will take place next month on Sunday 27 February at Wembley Stadium, and represents the first opportunity for these four ambitious clubs to secure some silverware and gain some inspiration for the rest of the campaign.

Interview: Derby County fans talk about the season so far and the future that might be around the corner

Amidst chaos off the pitch, Wayne Rooney is quietly plotting an incredible Championship great escape As administrators scramble to find a buyer for the club, the playing staff look to overturn an accumulative 21 point deduction dished out by the EFL which has made relegation almost a foregone conclusion. It is only due to the miraculous work of Rooney, his coaching staff and the players, that people are even able to discuss the possibility of what would be a truly historic achievement. Fans are rightly more concerned with the short and long term future of the club itself than with...

Premier League wins case against Chinese broadcaster PP Sports

The company based in Hong Kong has been ordered to pay £157m in rights fees to the EPL When the Premier League signed its broadcast partnership with PPLive Sports International in 2016, it was seen as a huge deal for both parties. It was to be worth more than £564m in TV rights, eclipsing the agreement with previous partner Super Sports Media. At the time the deal was touted as the league's largest overseas TV deal.
