Salah, 31, was forced to leave the field just before half-time during a 2-2 draw with Ghana in their AFCON Group B match. Egypt manager Rui Vitoria has provided some reassurance by stating that he doesn't believe Salah's injury is 'dangerous'. However, he also conceded that it is too early to accurately determine the extent of the problem.

"I hope not (a big problem). We don’t know yet what the problem is. I hope it’s not a big problem but it was a problem in the first-half,"
"It was difficult timing for us because in the second half, we could only make two substitutions. But now, I don't know. It's early to see something, I think it’s not dangerous but let’s see if Salah recovers."
Vitoria’s team will face Cape Verde in their final group match as they aim for progression into further rounds. Whether or not Salah will be fit enough to participate remains uncertain at this stage.
