Chelsea Football Club are reportedly setting its sights on Bundesliga striker Fisnik Asllani from Hoffenheim, who has an impressive record of 13 goal involvements in just 23 appearances this season. The forward's performance has not gone unnoticed, making him a sought-after potential target for several clubs, including Chelsea.
Despite having talented players like Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, there are still some question marks surrounding the Blues' attack. Delap hasn't made a significant impact yet and while Pedro has been performing exceptionally well lately, the club might need to reassess their striker position soon. This uncertainty has led them to explore new options and Asllani seems to be topping that list.
According to TEAMtalk reports, sources confirm that Chelsea is particularly interested in Asllani. The club has compiled a "priority file" on the forward, viewing him as a "complete striker" and potentially great value for money. Chelsea isn't alone in its interest; other clubs have also expressed their desire to sign Asllani. Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa from England’s Premier League have shown interest along with Spanish giants Barcelona.
Asllani recently signed a contract extension with Hoffenheim until 2029 which includes an attractive release clause valued at around €35million (£30.4m / $40.5m). However, depending on the buyer and league conditions this could be slightly less - between €25-29 million.
