Bruno Guimaraes, the Brazilian midfielder currently playing for Newcastle United, has recently shared his thoughts on Manchester City's star player Kevin De Bruyne. According to him, De Bruyne outshines even Luka Modric, one of Europe's top midfielders.
In a recent video shared on the Fubo YouTube channel, Guimaraes was asked to pick between Modric and Kevin De Bruyne in a quickfire this-or-that challenge. The Newcastle star didn't hesitate before picking De Bruyne over the Croatian maestro.
Modric has proved himself in tough conditions
Modric spent four years at Spurs before joining Real Madrid in 2012. Since then, he has made 526 appearances for the Spanish club across all competitions. His impressive record includes scoring 39 goals and delivering 84 assists. He also boasts numerous titles including five Champions Leagues under his belt.
Despite having such an illustrious career and even winning the Ballon d’Or back in 2018, it seems that according to Guimaraes, he still falls short when compared with Kevin De Bruyne.
Kevin de Bruyne’s track record is equally impressive if not more so than that of Modric’s. He has won five Premier League titles with Manchester City along with one Champions League title. Prior to their Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion, he had scored an astounding total of 101 goals and supplied a whopping count of 166 assists in just 375 games.
