The former Tottenham Hotspur boss has left Stamford Bridge after just one season in charge.

Despite an underwhelming first half to the 2023/24 campaign, Pochettino led Chelsea to a sixth-place finish in the Premier League, runners-up in the Carabao Cup and semi-finalists of the FA Cup. Now the sportsbooks, including 1XBET are pondering who might be next in the hot seat at Chelsea.

Several names have been linked with this coveted role, including Burnley boss Vincent Kompany, Portuguese maestro Ruben Amorim and hot prospect Kieran Mckenna.

Let's take a look at who the bookies are favouring to take over in West London.

Roberto de Zerbi (11/4 favourite)

Despite initially being mentioned as an outside contender for the Chelsea job, departing Brighton & Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi is quickly becoming the favourite with many sportsbooks.

After leading Brighton into their first-ever European adventure and then resigning unexpectedly on the eve of the end of this season, De Zerbi could be about to pop up at Stamford Bridge.

Kieran McKenna (3/1)

Kieran McKenna is also among the favourites for this position after leading Ipswich Town back into the Premier League this season. Known for producing impressive free-flowing football with Ipswich, McKenna could be an exciting prospect for Chelsea fans.

Some will worry that his appointment could be a repeat of the disappointing spell they endured under another bright young British coach Graham Potter, but his track record of back-to-back promotions in Suffolk will leave many excited about his potential appointment.

Thomas Frank (7/1)

Thomas Frank is also being heavily linked with the Chelsea job. He has done some fantastic work at Brentford for a while now and could be keen to look for a new challenge.

While the Dane has quashed the rumours linking him with the role, many still see him as a key contender.

Ruben Amorim (12/1)

Ruben Amorim continues to be linked with a move to the Premier League, with Chelsea being the latest club heavily connected with the impressive Portuguese boss.

At 39 years old, he has already made waves by guiding Sporting to their first top-flight title in 19 years back in 2021. His success has not gone unnoticed by European clubs and it is known that Chelsea have had a long-term interest in him.

Thomas Tuchel (16/1)

Thomas Tuchel is another name on the list of potential candidates. Known for leading Chelsea to Champions League glory in 2021, before being sacked by the new ownership group a year later, Tuchel could be looking for redemption at Stamford Bridge after leaving Bayern Munich.

Bosses at Bayern made a U-turn some weeks ago and began negotiating with the German in the hopes that he would stay in Bavaria, but he has decided to move on and many experts see the Premier League as his most likely next destination. A return to the club where he enjoyed great success would make a lot of sense.

Whoever takes over from Mauricio Pochettino at Chelsea will inherit a young but talented squad of players desperate to get it right next term.

After a difficult campaign full of growing pains, the bosses at Stamford Bridge will be looking to appoint a manager capable of getting the very best out of the expensive group of players they have assembled and accelerating the project forward in a way that they feel Mauricio Pochettino was unable to do.
