Atlético Madrid star player, Alexander Sørloth, has reportedly agreed on the terms of his departure from the Spanish club. This news comes amid speculation that the Norwegian striker has given his word to Italian giants Juventus over a potential summer transfer.
Sørloth is fresh off another successful season with Atlético Madrid. The 30-year-old forward made 54 appearances across all competitions and managed to score 20 goals. This achievement marks his third consecutive season with 20+ goals, demonstrating his consistent performance as a prolific goal scorer.
However, despite these impressive statistics, Sørloth spent more than half of the 2025/26 season coming off the bench due to stiff competition within Diego Simeone’s attacking ranks at Atlético Madrid.
New adventure beckons
Given this situation, it may not come as a surprise that Sørloth is looking for new opportunities elsewhere. The towering goal scorer seems ready for a new adventure next season and appears set on joining Juventus.
According to transfer insider Matteo Moretto's report cited by Fabrizio Romano: "Initial agreement on personal terms between Juventus and Alexander Sørloth’s camp." It seems talks are ongoing between Juve and Atléti as they continue discussing other potential transfers such as Nico González.
This move could potentially be beneficial for both parties involved - providing Juve with an experienced striker while offering Sorloth more playing time. However, fans will have to wait until summer before the transfer is officially confirmed.
