The new deal with EMG/Gravity Media and Jam TV will also cover women’s football

The Australian Professional Leagues (APL), the governing body for Australia's premier professional soccer competitions, has recently announced a dual appointment of production company Jam TV and facilities provider EMG/Gravity Media as its new production partners. This strategic partnership is set to revolutionize the broadcasting landscape of Australian football.

The two-year deal encompasses the 2024-25 and 2025-26 A-League men’s and women’s seasons. Under this agreement, both Jam TV and EMG/Gravity Media will produce all matches across these two competitions for the APL’s broadcast partners – free-to-air broadcaster Network 10 and Paramount+, an over-the-top (OTT) service.

This partnership will result in over 320 A-League games being produced throughout its duration. The collaboration aims to increase content availability for Australian soccer fans by producing shoulder content and ancillary programming around the league and its teams.

Boosting women's football profile

In addition to covering men's games, this deal also includes additional resources dedicated to growing the profile of women's soccer in Australia through increased coverage of the A-League women’s matches.

A-Leagues commissioner Nick Garcia expressed his enthusiasm about this development, highlighting how it would enhance access to quality content for fans nationwide.

A-Leagues commissioner, Nick Garcia, said:

“This is a highly credentialed combination between one of Australia’s most proven creative sports production enterprises in Jam TV and the global football powerhouse of EMG/Gravity Media.

“Along with the production of over 320 A-Leagues’ games through the seasons, this partnership also gives the league and our clubs more content to engage fans and showcase the great stories of our game.”

Existing relationship with Jam TV

Jam TV is no stranger to working with the APL. They have previously created and produced "A-Leagues All Access," a behind-the-scenes documentary series that has been running for two seasons now. Besides their work with soccer, they also produce live broadcasts for other sports including Australia’s National Basketball League, various Australian-rules football competitions, as well as golf tournaments.

The upcoming 2024-25 APL seasons are set to commence with the men’s competition on October 18, followed by the women’s competition on November 1. Both competitions will run through May 2025.

This partnership between APL, Jam TV, and EMG/Gravity Media is a significant step towards enhancing the visibility and reach of Australian soccer. It promises to deliver an immersive viewing experience for sports fans and sports betting enthusiasts alike, making it a win-win situation for all stakeholders involved.
