It's top versus bottom in the Bundesliga this Sunday and we see a shellacking on the horizon. Leaders Bayern come into this match on the back of a challenging Champions League draw against Salzburg. Kingsley Coman's late equaliser saved Bavarian blushes but this team will no doubt be looking to punish someone after a frustrating night in Austria compounded the shambolic 4-2 defeat they suffered away at Bochum in their last league game.
Bottom side Furth have reasons to be pleased lately. After a Derby County-esque start to the season left them labelled by many the worst team in Europe, they've turned things around somewhat in 2022. They've lost just one of their last six games with crucial wins against Hertha and Mainz boosting their still very slim hopes of avoiding relegation. Nonetheless, we think they'll struggle against the champions.
Bayern always respond to defeat in the Bundesliga. They've won all three times after losing previously in the league this campaign, 4-0, 1-0 and 5-1, and we think they'll take their aggression out on lowly Furth this weekend.
We also think they'll do it in style by hammering home at least three goals. The hosts have scored three or more times in five of their last eight Bundesliga fixtures. A glittering front line including the likes of the aforementioned Coman, Leroy Sane and top scorer Robert Lewandowski against a defence which may have improved but is still extremely suspect.
However, we don't think Nagelsmann's team will have it all their own way and that's why we're also going into the both teams to score market. BTTS has landed in both sides' last four matches in all competitions and we think both teams will score again here, as an improved Furth put up a valiant effort but ultimately fall to a heavy defeat.
