In a significant development for sports broadcasting, DAZN has successfully extended its Bundesliga rights in Germany and other DACH markets. This move comes as part of a five-year deal that will commence from 2025.
DAZN's new agreement ensures that the broadcaster will show approximately 80% of all Bundesliga games in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This expanded offering is a substantial increase from their current coverage, promising more action for football fans across these regions.
The deal includes live exclusive access to the Bundesliga Konferenz and all Sunday matches on DAZN. The number of matches per season shown by the broadcaster will rise dramatically from 106 to an impressive 240 games, including the Saturday Konferenz.
Introducing the Bundesliga Konferenz
A notable addition to DAZN's offerings is the introduction of the Bundesliga Konferenz. This live simulcast format covers multiple simultaneous matches taking place on Saturday afternoons. It provides viewers with an immersive experience as they can switch between different games to catch highlights in real-time.
