Free-to-air broadcaster will provide full coverage of the midweek clash on TV and via live streaming

UK public broadcaster ITV has signed a sub-licensing agreement with UEFA Nations League rights holder Premier Sports, to bring coverage of the clash between Scotland and Ukraine this Wednesday (21 September) to terrestrial TV audiences.

Premier Sports, which was recently purchased by Nordic streaming powerhouse Viaplay, has agreed to allow ITV to air full coverage of the match on its TV network and its live streaming platform.

Home nation Scotland sit one point behind Ukraine in Group B1, as their opponents currently top the group despite navigating the extreme complications brought about by the ongoing conflict in their country. The Ukraine national team is currently playing its home games in Krakow Stadium in neighbouring Poland, but will be away from home in this tie with the match scheduled to take place at Hampden Park.

A win for Scotland would see them leapfrog their war-torn opponents into top spot in Group B1, with a first place finish guaranteeing promotion to League A and future matches against some of the world's strongest nations.

The game is set to kick off at 7.45 on Wednesday 21 September, with coverage beginning on ITV at 7pm. Pundits and experts will be present to provide pre-game, half-time and post-game analysis on traditional TV on ITV4 and online via live streaming on the network's ITV Hub platform.

This latest meeting between the two comes after Ukraine humbled the Scottish with a 3-1 win in Glasgow during a vital World Cup playoff match back in June. Unfortunately for them, they were beaten by other home nation Wales in the final of that playoff, as Rob Page's side booked their place at the Qatar World Cup.

There is sure to be plenty of intrigue and narrative surrounding both sides going into this clash and UK viewers will have the treat of viewing it all on free-to-air public television and online thanks to this deal between ITV and Premier Sports.
